I am beyond thrilled to finally share this video, a full TALKthrough of Ronald Russell Roach’s history with his comic book magnum opus, Armageddonquest, which we are now crowdfunding to bring back into print:

AQ is a 900-page (you read that right!) epic that chronicles the coming-of-age of a reluctant Antichrist - he’s just a sweet kid and doesn’t want to hurt anybody let alone end the world! But of course, the world always wants you to be what they say you’re supposed to be.

Originally a character called SON OF SATAN (which predates Marvel’s Son of Satan! Hmmm…🤔) this character evntually evolved to become TAZIO, the main character of AQ. Ron produced an entire novel of the story, then hundreds of pages of preliminary comics while he worked as a security guard in Washington, called “Prison Comix” and “Slammer Comix”. Note that we have plans to bring ALL of these comics back into print, and not just AQ!

It all culminated in the wonderfully weird, imaginative, and surprisingly nuanced taled biblical armageddon as seen through the eyes of a dirty globe-trotting hippie creative like Ron.

I hope you enjoy the video above - it’s a great way to get to know Ron, the man behind the comic! And it’s a fascinating history!
